John Stanley Westlake, 79, of White Pigeon, MI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home.

John was born in Elkhart, IN to the late Howard and Clara (Ritchie) Westlake on November 3, 1942.  John was married to the late, Betty Joyce (Southerland) Westlake for 24 years. She passed away on August 19, 2022.

John is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty, brothers, Harvey, Howard Jr., Bill, Tom and David and sisters, Joy, Joyce and Susie.

John is survived by his sister-in-law, Juanita Koontz of White Pigeon, MI, and many nieces and nephews.

John worked at Vincent Bach in Elkhart for 40 years, retiring in 2005. He was also a member of Bristol United Methodist. John was known as Mr. Fixit and was known to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and friends. He was enjoyed visits from those closest to him and striking conversations were a favorite past time.

A Celebration of life for John will be held at a later date. Per his request, John will be cremated. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.
