John S. Uryga, 60, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on February 20, 1961, in Detroit, MI to the late Stanley and Dorothy (Lockyer) Uryga.

John is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Brenda Uryga; son, Christopher (Leslee) Uryga; daughter, Sera (Gurpreet) Singh; son in law, Peter Mikhalchuk; grandchildren, Rozzelyn, Luka, Rufa, Maharet, Midnight, and Nick; brother, Jim (Sally) Uryga; sister, Julie (Jack) Senger; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with John's wishes, cremation was chosen. A visitation will take place on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart. A service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. John will be laid to rest at Rice Cemetery immediately following the Service. John was a hard-working man who worked for many years in the RV Industry for Couchman RV in Middlebury and Forest River in Elkhart. John was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Goshen for many years. He married the love of his life, Brenda, there at the church in September of 1981. John was a kind man with a good sense of humor who enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed spending time with his family every chance he got and was always "Living the Life." John will be greatly missed.
