ELKHART - John Ervin Noffsinger, 64, of Elkhart, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011.
He was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Elkhart to William F. and Josephine Mabel (Detwiler) Noffsinger.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard Noffsinger and Jim (Carmelene) Noffsinger, both of Elkhart; and two sisters, Frances Jones of Novato, Calif., and Delores Freeby of Sacramento, Calif.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Noffsinger; and a sister, Jeannine Cullen.
John was a graduate of Tri State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering. John was employed at the Elkhart Camera Center for nearly 20 years. For several years he enjoyed collecting stamps and baseball cards. John was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
