John James McGuire, 87, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Detroit, MI on April 25, 1933 to the late Bernard C. and Mary (Berish) McGuire.

John is survived by his son, James (Dianne) McGuire of North Kingston, RI; stepdaughter, Pamela Lovely of Elkhart; grandchildren, Brendan McGuire of Rhode Island and Christina Walters (Josh) of South Bend; brother, Bernie C. (Carol) McGuire Jr. of Williamston, MI; and twin sisters, Mary Kay (Al) Jack and Susan A. Camp both of Mason, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Mary Ann (Phillipoff) McGuire; stepson, Walter Luefling; and brother Jerry (Barb) McGuire.

In accordance with John's wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. and Altera Cremation Services in Elkhart. A private family graveside service will take place at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart at the Veterans towers with military honors.

John was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who served proudly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann, on December 31, 1966 in Osceola and was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. John spent most of his career in the RV/MH industry in sales with such companies as Richardson Homes, Bendix Home, Sightseer, Cortez, Vogue, and later as co-managing partner and owner of Sage Employment Recruiting in Elkhart.  John became very popular with all of Elkhart County's RV/MH companies and across the U.S. and Canada, as a leader that would always find the right person for the job. He took great satisfaction helping job candidates and their family fulfill their dreams, and companies to continue to prosper. John was also active as a member in the Elks Club and Moose Lodge.
