John C. Law, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at Valley View Healthcare, after an extended illness. John was born on July 12, 1951 in Elkhart to the late Richard and Jama Cooke.

A son, daughter, and a brother survive John. John worked for Burgers Lawn Service for many years. He served for four years in the U.S. Air Force, painting water towers and runways. He was an avid walker and liked to visit people and friends. He loved animals and had a dog named Smokey and a cat named Troubles. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work.

Services for John will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation ½ hour prior. at Billings Funeral Home, Pastor Jeremy Sarber will officiate. Military honors by the U.S. Air Force Funeral Honor Guard and EVHG will follow the service. John will be laid to rest at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
