ELKHART - John W. Kiernan, 80, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 4:50 pm at Green House Village of Goshen.

John was born on October 21,1939 in Fennville, MI to Harold Kiernan and Betty (Minnega) Orlich. He married Deanna "Dee" Weaver on January 11,1959. She passed away on September 9, 2010.

He is survived by son, Barry (Shirley) Kiernan of Silver Lake, OH, daughter, Brenda (Clint) Lowery of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Jonathan Kiernan, Leah Lowery, Charlie Lowery and Paige Lowery; and 3 sisters.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jim Kiernan on Aug.15, 2018.

John honorably served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retired salesman for Parts Unlimited. John was an avid bicycle rider and loved riding his "Goldwing" motorcycle.

Per the family's request there will be a private memorial service at a later date.
