Obituary
ELKHART — John Phillip Hiles, 45, of Elkhart, passed away at his residence Monday, Feb. 22.
A lifelong native of Elkhart, he was born Jan. 26, 1971, to Wilbur E. and Mary Jane (Radar) Hiles.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Hiles; and brothers David (Ellen) Hiles and Steven (Malinda) Hiles. His companion was Laura Ellis, and her son, Colton Ellis, whom he adored. Also there are many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, friends and cousins who will miss John as well.
He was a graduate of Elkhart Central High School and worked for many years in the RV industry. He formerly coached for area little league teams. John was an avid bowler, he was a huge NASCAR and sports fan. He loved the Cubs and Hurricanes.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in Adamsville Cemetery.
The families kindly request no flowers.
