Obituary
ELKHART — JoAnn N. Phillips, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Aug. 21, at Riverside Village in Elkhart following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 1, 1946, in Three Rivers, Mich., to the late Lamar and Loretta (Dowty) Kiefer.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Mike) May of Montgomery, Ill.; grandchildren Mike and Christiana May; brothers Russell (Pat) Kiefer and Stephen (Linda) Kiefer; and her sister, Diana Wyman.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Services will be at Billings Funeral Home, with visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Vistula Cemetery in Bristol. Pastor David Lade of the Bethel Assembly of God Church of Elkhart will officiate.
JoAnn worked at EPF of Elkhart for more than 45 years as a sales coordinator. She attended Bethel Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also liked to read, garden, cook and take photographs.
Memorial donations may be made to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County or Ribbon of Hope.
