ELKHART -- Joan Elaine Kresge, 82, of Oakland Avenue, died at 4:54 p.m. Tuesday (July 8, 2008) in Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Nov. 7, 1925, in Mishawaka to John S. and Margaret (Carter) Seltzer. She married Douglas Kresge in 1945 in Cleveland.

Mrs. Kresge is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Don) Trost of Elkhart; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Kresge was a homemaker and loved crossword puzzles, needlepoint and spending time with family, especially grandchildren. She was an avid football fan and loved cats.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
