She was born Feb. 25, 1932, in Charleston, Ill., to William and Mary (Checkley) Bails.

Surviving are three sisters, Donna (Allen) Craft of Elkhart, Barbara (Richard) Chilcote of Sun City West, Ariz., and Wanda (Trevitt) Simcox of Cathedral City, Calif.

Ms. Bails was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Bails; and three sisters, Jean Thompson, Nancy Shea and Linda Bails.

Services will be announced at a later date, but will be at First Presbyterian Church in Goshen. The Rev. Allen Griffin will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Entombment was in Faith Mausoleum in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

Ms. Bails graduated from Elkhart High School and was a loan officer for Chiphone Federal Credit Union for 20 years. In 2001, she retired from Penn Credit Union. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Goshen.
