ELKHART — Joada Holliday, 95, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born May 20, 1919, in Terrell, Tenn., to Almos and Daviann (Wilkins) Huff.
Surviving are her two daughters, Carolyn L. Boykins of Elkhart and Jeanette Fox of Wakarusa; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Motto Holliday Sr.; three brothers; three sisters; and one granddaughter, Carolyn Holliday.
Joada was employed at the Hotel Elkhart for several years prior to her retirement.
She was a longtime member of The Church of Cassopolis.
The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the noon Friday, Jan. 16, celebration of life service at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Elkhart. Pastor Christopher Pittman will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joada to the American Heart Association.
