SOUTH BEND — Jimmy L. Rock, 77, of South Bend, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2016 at Center for Hospice Care in South Bend.
He was born on March 2, 1939, in South Bend, to the late Fred and Alva Rock.
He was also preceded by his wife Rowena "Judy" Rock; son, Kenneth Cauffman, five brothers, Harry "Bud" Hixon, Fred "Red", Charles, Gene and Paul Rock, and 2 sisters, Betty "Susie" Fry and Alvena Ward.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Kimberly (Roger) Cooper, Diana McDonald; son James (Melanie) Curie; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and brother Don (Trina) Rock.
Jimmy retired from the Mishawaka Parks Department.
He served in the U.S Army with the 101st Airborne.
He was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing cards.
Cremation has taken place, with burial at a later date.
Billings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
