Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with pastor Doug Erickson of La Paz Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Members of the Elkhart DAV chapter 13 and the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard will render military honors at the funeral. Cremation will take place.

He was born April 17, 1937, in Warsaw to Glen and Creo "Bonnie" (Mock) Eberly. He married Patty Eberly on March 15, 1959. She died in 1995. On June 5, 1996, he married Nancy L. Beery Coryn in Las Vegas.

She survives, along with three sons, James "Mike" (Deanna) Eberly of Granger, Michael (Regina) Coryn of South Bend and Brian (Crystal) Coryn of Elkhart; one daughter, Glynda (Steve) Hunsberger of Elkhart; and 10 grandchildren.

One sister, Patty Conley, preceded him in death.

Mr. Eberly was a member of Elkhart Moose Lodge 599. He served as a board member for the Osolo Township trustee board for several years under Dave Chism. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served stateside during the years between the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was an avid Green Bay Packers and NASCAR fan. He loved Bobby Knight and I.U. basketball.

Memorials may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
