Obituary
ELKHART — Jessie R. Ingersoll, 88, of Cincinnati, and formerly of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart, on Wednesday, June 24.
She was born in Elkhart Sept. 21, 1926, to the late Frank and Allie Rupe.
She married Ivan E. Ingersoll in 1946 in LaPorte. He preceded her in death, along with grandsons Adam Graber and Richard Ingersoll Jr.; great grandson Charlie Romanin; two brothers; and a sister.
Surviving are children Beth (Gary) Graber of Bristol, Carol (Joe) Todd of Murrille Inlet, S.C., Daniel (Katie) Ingersoll of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Larry (Carita) Ingersoll of Gardena, Calif., Richard (Lisa) Ingersoll of Cincinnati and David (Linda) Ingersoll Kent, Wash.; as well as a multitude of grand and great- grandchildren.
In accordance with the family's wishes, no immediate services have been scheduled and cremation is to take place under the care of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart. A memorial will take place at a later date.
Jessie was a homemaker who took great pride in her home and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and volunteering at local hospitals.
