Obituary
ELKHART — Jerry T. Scarkino, 69, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at the home of a friend following an extended illness Dec. 6.
He was born in New Orleans, La., March 20, 1947, to the late Carl and Parthenia (Smith) Scarkino, Sr.
He is survived by a daughter, Wendy Scarkino of Aurora, Colo., and a brother Carl Scarkino, Jr. of New Orleans.
Brothers Pete and Richard Scarkino precede him in death.
In accordance with Jerry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
Jerry had retired from Kampco of Elkhart in 2009. His favorite pastimes included listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash, watching NASCAR, visiting with friends down at the local VFW and keeping caught up on world news and politics.
