Jerry W. Rose, 74, of Elkhart, passed away at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart on Friday, March 1, 2019. He was born in Metropolis, IL on August 11, 1944 to the late Lander Rose and Esther (May) Beerer.

He is survived by his sons, Marc (Mary) and Shawn Rose, sister, Deanna (Larry) Quirk, half-sisters, Janice and Teresa Brown, and partner, Lena Rose.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Jerry will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, with cremation to follow. A private family memorial service with military honors is being planned at a later date and is to take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be given to the Rose family directly.

Jerry grew up in Elkhart and graduated from Concord High School. He proudly served in the United States Army and bravely fought in the war at Vietnam. His favorite pass time was watching NASCAR and old westerns while sipping a Dr. Pepper.
