ELKHART — Jerry E. Robison, 83, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 3, 1934, in Goshen, to the late Forrest and Wilma (Williamson) Robison and later married Marla J. Atkinson on Nov. 21, 1953 in Elkhart.  She survives at home after 64 wonderful years together.

Also surviving are his sons, Richard J. "Rich" (Julie) Robison of Elkhart and David E. (Laura) Robison of Bristol; grandchildren Kaitlyn (Tanner) Smale of South Bend and Eric (Jill) Robison of Elkhart; great-granddaughter Lorraine Robison of Elkhart and close friend, Tony Spano.

Brother Forrest "Ned" Robison and sister Linda Miller preceded Jerry in death.

In accordance with Jerry's wishes, Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Burial will take place in Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen at a later date.

Jerry worked in the local musical instrument industry, spending more than 50 years between Gemeinhardt and Conn-Selmer.

He enjoyed gardening and doing yardwork at home, spending time with his family and catching a bite to eat with his friends
