Mr. Kurtz, 44, of 176 Joyce Court, died at home at 4:05 p.m. Friday (June 15, 2007).

He was born Dec. 21, 1962, in Elkhart, to Jerry J. and Arlene (Leslie) Kurtz Sr. His mother survives along with a daughter, Sarah Bueling; a granddaughter; two brothers, James Kurtz and Keith (Rita) Kurtz, both of Elkhart; and a sister, Denise Kurtz of Elkhart.

Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Kurtz enjoyed playing the guitar and doing yard work. He loved all animals.
