ELKHART — Jerry E. Cramer, 55, of Elkhart, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Mishawaka on Nov. 8, 1956, to Junior and the late Dorothy (Jacobs) Cramer. He married Gwen D. Tavernier on June 29, 1985, in Elkhart. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Jaime M. (Scott) Pletz of Howe; half brother Leroy (Dee) Cramer of Goshen; sister Cheryl Cramer of Elkhart; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Pastor Jeffrey Robinson of Whosoever Will Worship Center of Elkhart will officiate. In accordance with Jerry's wishes, he was an organ donor, and cremation has taken place, with a burial to follow at Adamsville Road Cemetery in a later time.
Jerry spent nearly 25 years in customer sales and service for such Elkhart area companies as NIBCO and Elkhart Products and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.
Memorial donations may be given to the Jerry E. Cramer Memorial Fund, c/o his wife, Gwen.
