IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerry L.
Brimhall
January 2, 1941 – November 23, 2019
Mr. Jerry L. Brimhall, 78, of Goshen, peacefully went to be with his Lord while surrounded by family on Sunday morning, Nov. 24, 2019 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 2, 1941 in Leachville, AR to the late Homer and Maxine (King) Brimhall, and, in his words, grew up on a cotton farm. He later married the love of his life Elizabeth "Eleanor" Stanley on Jan. 7, 1965 in Middlebury. She survives at home after 54 wonderful years together.
Other survivors include his daughters Sherri (Jeffrey) Smith and Pam (Deryl) Chupp; sons Terry (Tracy) Brimhall and Cecil and Billy Stanley; grandchildren Lucas (Rachele) and Sarah Stanley, Bailey (Bobby) Crowder, Joshua (Maria Pairtz) Varab and Ethan and Madison Brimhall and great grandchildren Landon and Conner Callahan, Sadie and Jackson Crowder and Maddox, Brielle and Zeb Stanley. Preceding Jerry in death are siblings Woodrow Brimhall and Barbara Disher, and a grandson, Blake Varab.
Jerry's life will be celebrated with a memorial service on Wednesday evening, Nov. 27, 2019, at 7:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm. Joshua Varab, Jerry's grandson, will officiate and burial of Jerry's cremated remains will follow at a later date
Jerry spent over 23 years as a machinist at Western Rubber in Goshen. In his earlier years, he and Eleanor enjoyed camping every year with the kids, but later settled in to become quite the aficionado of daytime TV, old westerns and listening to "old-school" country/western music. He also enjoyed playing pool and cards, sitting outside by his goldfish pond, spending time with his yorkie-poo sidekick "Max" and maintaining bragging rights within the family for being the regular NASCAR champion in the family racing pool, with Kyle Busch always being Jerry's favorite pick!
On-line condolences may reach the family by visiting the funeral home's website. Memorial donations may be given in Jerry's memory to the Center for Hospice Care!
