Obituary

Jerry Lee Angel, 89, of Elkhart, passed away to his Forever Home, surrounded by family, on Friday, October 30, 2026 at Hubbard Hill.

Jerry was born on August 7, 1937, in Elkhart, Indiana, where he was raised by his parents, Marshall and Grace Angel. He married the love of his life, Sharon Berky on November 5, 1955 in Elkhart.

Jerry graduated from Concord High School. After graduation, he and his bride moved to Ligonier to farm for several years. He then moved to Goshen, where he built a home, and owned a trucking company. He was a trucker for over three decades. Jerry and Sharon were members of Bethel Missionary Church. They also enjoyed helping the residents of Rose Home in Elkhart where they assisted operating church services.

Jerry deeply loved his family, and devoted himself to pouring into their lives. He enjoyed antique John Deere tractors, where he was a member of the 2 Cylinder Club. He collected tractors, and built several barns for his grandchildren.

Upon retirement, he and Sharon enjoyed traveling full time in their RV. They specifically loved staying in Arizona, where they made many long-lasting friends. He was known for making an everlasting impact on those he encountered. His legacy reflecting Jesus.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Angel, his parents, Marshall and Grace Angel, his sister Nancy Weaver, and brother Paul Angel.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Todd) Hartman of Goshen; grandchildren, Sarah (Daryl) Miller and Zach Hartman; great-grandchildren, Madilynn, Brooklynn, Drew, Maverick and Ellie; and his brother Jim (Geri) Angel.

Services will be held at the Wakarusa Missionary Church on Friday, November 6, 2026. Visitation will be Friday, November 6 from 9 to 11am. Funeral services will directly follow. Entombment will be a private ceremony at a later time.
