Obituary
ELKHART — Jerries D. Hickman, 74, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Elkhart Hospice House.
She was born March 13, 1942, in Senath, Mo., to Jerry and Dessie M. (Ramer) Stanfill.
On June 22, 1959, she married the late Bob Hickman.
Survivors include her son, Phil (Holly) Hickman of Elkhart; one daughter, Lisa (Sam) Caudle of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Mary Overholt of Elkhart; and three grandchildren, Elise and Sydney Hickman, both of Elkhart and Travis Caudle of Tyler.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Hickman.
Jerries owned and operated a beauty salon for several years and was later employed at Positron Corp. until her retirement.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the 2 p.m. celebration of life service Sunday, Dec. 4, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
Mr. Phil Hickman will officiate.
Inurnment will follow at a later date in Rice Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart.
