She was born June 11, 1933, in Elkhart, Ind., to Joseph and Marie (Wentzel) Richard. She married Thomas L. Huneryager on Aug. 18, 1951, in Elkhart.

He survives along with two sons, Timothy S. (Robyn) Huneryager of Middlebury, Ind., and Robert D. Huneryager of Edwardsburg; five daughters, Penny G. Huneryager, Karen J. (Mark) Renkiewicz, Christine A. (Jay) Martin and Janice L. (Christopher) Scroy, all of Elkhart, and Susan K. (Michael) Bridger of South Bend, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; and her mother, of Elkhart.

Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at New Creation Fellowship, Granger. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Pastor David Klahr officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart.

Mrs. Huneryager graduated second in her class from Elkhart High School. She was a homemaker who attended New Creation Fellowship. Jerrie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was devoted to the Lord, Jesus Christ. She had a ministry of encouraging others with cards and letters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
