Mrs. Jennifer S. "Jenny" Moosekian, 66, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at Elkhart General Hospital following a sudden illness on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at 3:09 am. She was born December 26, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Jerome "Jerry" Johnson and Mary J. (Mayo) Johnson Carpenter. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Kelley Blakemore and sister, Julie Carpenter.

She is survived by her beloved 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; children Amy (Mark) Byars, Jamison Blakemore, Jesse (Kerry) Blakemore, Summer Blakemore and Tim (Tisha) Moosekian; brothers James (Laura) Johnson; Robert Carpenter and sister April (Glen) Dolliver; and a host of loving family and friends.

Jenny was a project manager at KIK Custom Products of Elkhart for more than 25 years and will be remembered as a strong woman who was grandmother, mother, sister and friend to all.  She was everyone's favorite cook, confidant, storyteller and even enforcer when needed. She could be counted on to brighten your day or give you the advice you did not know you needed. Her charisma, strength, humor, wit and kindness will be missed by all who knew her.

Jenny's Celebration of Life service will be held at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning there at 11 am. Pastor Tim Sheets of the Northside Church of the Nazarene will officiate and burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
