Rescheduled service time and date!

Jeffery "Jeff" Scott Curtis, 45, of Elkhart passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 2, 2023.

Jeff was born on July 16, 1977 to Connie and the late, Thomas Curtis in South Bend, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Curtis of Elkhart; stepfather, Donald Mapes of Elkhart, and paternal and maternal grandparents.

Survivors include his mother, Connie Mapes of Elkhart; brother, Thomas Curtis of Marshall, Michigan; stepmother, Beverly Kiebel of Elkhart; longtime girlfriend, Shannon Matthew and her sons, Jack and Drew; stepsisters, Misty (Julian) Gallegos, Mary (AJ) Tupper, Aimee (Clifford) Johnson, and Katie Meeks-Kiebel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Otis.

Jeff graduated from Penn High School in 1995 and then attended Ivy Tech. He was an electrician with Union 153 and worked for numerous electrical companies over the years. He was an avid Cubs, Notre Dame, and Patriots fan. He enjoyed RC Cars, fixing and building things, and "tinkering" around the garage.

A graveside service is planned for Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1 P.M. at the Osceola Cemetery, Old US 33 and County Line Rd; Osceola, IN.

A celebration of Jeff's life service will be planned for a later date. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN is assisting the family.
