ELKHART -- Jeffery Lynn Clifford, 52, of Elkhart, died at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 4, 2009) in Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Aug. 16, 1957, in Elkhart to Barbara Ann (Sites) Veatch. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Clifford is survived by two sons, Ryan (Lenna) Clifford and Dino (Terri) Clifford, both of Granite City, Ill.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Teresa Clifford of Elkhart, Samara (Pete) Owens of Bristol and Samantha (Mike) of Royal Center; one brother, Todd A. Clifford of Edwardsburg; and his special companion, Kim.

Mr. Clifford worked at several local RV manufacturers before becoming ill. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed painting, crafts, woodworking, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was an avid Chicago Bears football fan.

A gathering of friends will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 143, 905 Maple St., Bristol, where a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. The Rev. Dick Dunn will officiate. Cremation will take place.
