Jeffery L. Barnes, 63, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 25, 2019 following a brief illness.

He was born in South Bend on Apr. 12, 1956 to the late Eugene Barnes and Wilma (Gyori) Barnes, who survives him.

He is also survived by his children Bryan and Katherine Barnes; siblings Deborah Grimes and Jack Barnes and grandchildren Eloise and Edwin Barnes. He is preceded in death by his significant other, Sharon Hale.

In accordance with his wishes, Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services have been assisting with cremation arrangements. No services have been planned.

Jeffery was an assembly worker employed at CANA Cabinets in Elkhart. He enjoyed NASCAR and Monster Truck Competitions and was an avid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan.
