ELKHART — Jean E. Stephens, 81, Elkhart, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in her home.
Jean was born May 25, 1932, in Elkhart, to the late William J. and Lillian (Price) Stephens.
Surviving are her brother, William D. (Sally) Stephens of Elkhart; and her niece, Jennifer Stephens of South Bend.
Jean graduated from Elkhart High School before attending and graduating from South Bend Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Jean went on to work as a registered nurse at Elkhart General Hospital for nearly 40 years, until her retirement.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart.
