She was born April 27, 1929, in Goshen to Homer and Gladys (Poyser) Sowers.
She is survived by two sons, Tony L. Cochran of Elkhart and Jeff (Debbie) Cochran of Bristol; three daughters, Roberta (Tony) Walker of Elkhart, Dawn (David) Garwood of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Debra (Bill) Stevens of Michigan City; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Bill Sowers.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Cochran retired from HomeCrest Cabinetry in Goshen and formerly worked for R.B. Gustafson in Elkhart.
She was a longtime member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge 599, where she worked as a waitress in the dining room for several years.
Ms. Cochran was a seamstress and enjoyed crocheting. One of her favorite activities was to go to the Blue Chip Casino.
