ELKHART — Jared Ethan Lay, 22, of Bristol, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012, as a result of a single-vehicle accident on C.R. 23, just south of C.R. 14 in Bristol.
He was born Nov. 14, 1989, in Elkhart.
Survivors include his mother, Kathy M. (Craig) Parks of Bristol; father Elmose N. (Heather) Lay Jr. of Goshen; six brothers, Jeremy (Teressa) Lay, Joshua Lay, Jacob Lay and Josiah Lay, all of Elkhart, Dakota Parks of Bristol and Curtis Lay of Goshen; three sisters, Jessica Lay of Elkhart, Kirsten and Kaylynn Lay, both of Goshen; paternal grandmother, Darlene (Robert) Robertson of Elkhart; maternal grandfather, David Arisman of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
Jared was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elmose N. Lay Sr., and maternal grandmother, Judith Arisman.
Jared was employed at American Custom Vehicles for more than four years.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 3 Cross Ministries, 25435 C.R. 6, Elkhart. Pastor Jeffrey T. Lewis will officiate.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of the arrangements.
