VANDALIA, Mich. — Janice Kidder, 74, of Vandalia, passed away at her home at 1:40 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012, after an extended illness.
She was born Mar. 12, 1938, in Pane Gap, Ky., to the late Solomon and Pina Mae (Reed) Bentley. She later married Jack G. Kidder in May of 1970. He passed away in Cassopolis in 2007.
Surviving are her sons, Dale Boggs of Granger, Ind., R. Allen (Julie) Boggs of Elkhart, Ind., and Jimmy Boggs of Edwardsburg; daughters Delilah (Mark) Swoverland of Elkhart and Anita Kiefer of Centreville; brothers Mitchell (Gail) Bentley of Edwardsburg, Jerry Bentley of Niles, Frank Bentley of Bremen, Ind., and Alby Bentley of South Bend, Ind.; sisters Emma Herthog of South Bend, Kay Spencer of Bidwell, Ohio, and Jeanette (Raymond) Bradford of Granger; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, also at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Olive Cemetery of Elkhart. Pastor Elwood Adams will officiate.
