ELKHART — Janice Ann Adamson, 70, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.

She was born Jan. 13, 1948 in Washington, Indiana to the late Arnold and Irma (Volle) Buescher. She married George E. Adamson on Aug. 24, 1968 at Bethel U.C.C. near Freelandville, Indiana. He survives at home.

Also surviving are her children Angela K. Simecek, Elizabeth I. (Aaron) Raleigh, Andrew G. Adamson and Michael T. Adamson; grandson Nolan Simecek; brothers Ron (Carol) Buescher, Dan Buescher, and sister Arlene (Conway) Wilson. Janice is preceded in death by a brother, Bob Buescher.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is honored to host Janice's Celebration of Life service on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 3 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Her remains will be buried in southern Indiana in accordance with her wishes.

Janice loved gardening and was a member of the Four Winds Garden Club. She was also an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ, where she served as church secretary. Janice enjoyed playing the piano throughout her life. She volunteered in the community, and was dedicated to helping others. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

Memorial donations may be given to St. John's United Church of Christ, Heifer Project International, or to the Hospice Foundation.
