ELKHART — Janet Kay (Carter) Lovisa, 69 of Elkhart and longtime resident of Michiana passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Center for Hospice, Elkhart. Janet was born November 19, 1947, Quincy, KY, to the late Earl and Jean Carter. Janet was a wonderful cook, enjoyed traveling, loved big family gatherings and most of all love her family especially her grandchildren. Janet was a hair stylist, she also owned Hair City Salon for many years.

Janet is survived by her daughter Cambria Rief; son Corie Craft; grandchildren Emillea Rief, Carter Rief, Kindall Rief and Chase Craft; sister Tangie (Edward) Reith; brother Sam (Billie) Carter.

Preceded in death by sister Ruth Tieman.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2017, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at Billings Funeral Home, 612 Baldwin St., Elkhart on July 24, 2017 at 1:00p.m.  Burial will be at Rice Cemetery.
