James Patrick Quinlan, 71, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at his home.

James was born on July 18, 1954 in South Bend, IN to James Peter Quinlan Sr., and Mary (Atherton) Quinlan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Quinlan and niece, Heather Quinlan.

James is survived by son, James Paul Quinlan, granddaughter, Faith Quinlan; sisters, Sally Quinlan, Kathy Quinlan and Peggy Jane (Larry) Warren; nephew, Bobby and Jacob and nieces, Rachel and Nicole.

James worked in shipping and receiving at Q & P for many years. He enjoyed working on computers. James had an appreciation of muscle cars and motorcycles. He was a huge science fiction movie fan, especially Star Trek. James enjoyed listening to classic rock music with his favorite band being Steppenwolf. He was even known to play guitar in his spare time. James loved the beach stemming from his time spent in Florida. Watching football, especially Indianapolis Colts.

James kept to himself and was independent, living a life that kept him busy.

There will be no services at this time. Per the family's request, James will be cremated.
