Mr. James Elidge Pritchard, 30, of Goshen, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 1:03 am after being struck by a train at a railroad crossing in Goshen.

He was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on November 7, 1993 to George A. Pritchard of Elkhart and Tammy R. (Hickle) Pritchard of Bristol, and is survived by his children Bradley James Pritchard, Breanna Nicole Pritchard and Nathan Michel Frey. Additionally, James is also survived by his brother George A. Pritchard, Jr. and sisters Samantha (Jose) Romo, Tracy Pritchard and Katelin Pritchard, all of Elkhart, and Emma Pritchard of Bristol.

In accordance with his wishes, a private cremation has been selected and Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart have been assisting the family with arrangements.

James was a caring and giving young man who would do anything for anyone. He was full of life and laughter and had a presence about him that just seemed to bolster everyone's day. His attitude to life always seemed to be positive no matter what the condition, which made him easy to hang out with, and he loved spending time with his kids and his friends. He was an accomplished video gamer, loved to take off and go fishing somewhere (just to get his mind right) and was always proud of the fact that he was a good dad to his children.

Memorial donations in James' name may be given to either his mom Tammy or his dad George.
