James is also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Moore; brothers, Bill, Jack, Roger, and Ray Moore; and sisters, Kay Stafford, Lillian Medford, and Joyce Boggs. He is survived by his children, Don (Tammy) Beachy, Michael Johnson, and Melody Moore; brother, Chuck Moore; sister-in-law, Diana Moore; and several grandchildren.

A graveside service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. where he will be laid to rest at Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen, IN. The family would like to thank Virginia Sheffer and Real Services Inc. for all the love and care they showed him during his final years.
James worked as a saw operator for Banks Lumber before retiring. He always had an upbeat personality with a smile on his face and enjoyed a good laugh. When his wife, Donna, was still by his side, they used to spend much of their time together listening to country music and going out.
In James' spare time, he loved to be outdoors whether it be keeping up with yard work or taking long walks. Walking was one of the ways he was able to feel grounded in his life and allowed him time to reflect and think. In his earlier years, James was an award-winning horseshoe thrower and had won several trophies at the local Fair. Later in life he would frequent the fair with his brother, Jack, to watch the tractor pulls. James' will be dearly missed by his loving family whom he loved above all else.
