Mr. James Howard (Farmer Jim) Simons, 83, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, May 29, 2022 in Elkhart. He was born on December 16,1938 and was the son of the late Katherine Peck Osborn Sterling.

Surviving Jim are his children Jennifer (John) Young of Middlebury, Katherine Simons of LaGrange, Jeff (Barb) Simons of Bristol and Doug (Cathy) Simons of Mishawaka; brothers Patrick (Susan) Simons of Washington and Chris (Marilyn) Simons of Indiana; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A son, Craig Simons, precedes Jim in passing.

Jim was a hardworking, self-employed framing contractor for many years. He was an avid gardener and a great cook, and, as such, appreciated good food. He also enjoyed fishing and taking long road trips on his Harley. He will be best remembered for living life to the fullest.
