James Allen "Jim" Goodsene, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Esther's House, Center for Hospice Care. Elkhart. Jim was born on August 27, 1959 in Elkhart to the late William Eldon "Bill" Goodsene and Gloria Ann (Bowman) Wright.

Jim is survived by his son Shawn Lee (Anderea Hostetler) Peffley and his grandson Kaiden (Jalynn) Ponder of MIssouri; brother Bill E. (Teresa) Goodsene of Knightstown, IN; also nieces, Lindsay (Jon) Arndt of Arizona, and Jordyn (Michael) Goodsene of Indianapolis, 4 great nieces and 1 nephew and special friends Kevin (Teresa) Keyser. He will be missed by his fur babies' cats, Marlo (Dec.) and Josie and many friends who will miss him.

Jim graduated from Elkhart Central High School and worked as a design engineer at Crown International for many years. To say Jim loved music would be an understatement, He loved music, especially rock, with Rush being one of his favorite bands. He attended Grace Community Church in Mishawaka when he could with Shawn and was Baptized and accepted Christ there. Jim was also a huge motorsports fan, and enjoyed watching open wheel Indy Cars, motorcycles, NASCAR, and F-1.

Jim also liked to putt around in his yard and had the most Immaculate lawn. Jim was just a genuinely nice guy, who enjoyed life. Music, family, and friends.

Services celebrating the life of Jim A. Goodsene, will begin with visitation from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2025, and the funeral service on Monday, at 11:00 a.m. with 1 hour visitation prior, all at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Pastor Mike Tabor of Grace Community Church, Mishawaka, will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow at Rice Cemetery.
