Jacquelyn Mary "Jackie" (Doetsch) Smith, 86, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Brickyard Healthcare's Elkhart Campus. She was born on July 11, 1937, in South Bend, to the late Richard Charles Doetsch and Dorothy Irene (Hufford) Erhardt.

Jackie is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Fox and Elizabeth (Joseph Jr.) Rose; grandchildren, James Jr. and William (Cathy) Fox, Heather, Jennifer, and Joshua (Nikki) Jordan, Brittney (Adam) Kerlin, and Travis (Hayden) Rose; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Mya, Kyliee, and Chayse Jordan, Caitlyn Johnston, Angel Diaz, Alexia Cuevas, Piper and Emmett Kerlin, and Vivian Rose; brother, Ed Doetsch; sisters, Beverly (Don) Quimby, Sharon (Kent) Hoover, Dorothy Kline, Janice (Harvey) Ottoman, Betty Walsh, Margaret (Dave) Herman, and Debbie (Dave) Tutorow; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Colan Smith; former spouse, William McMillen; grandson, Jason Jordan; and sister, Sandra (Harold) Swiatowy.

Services for Jackie will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Billings Funeral Home with visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM and a funeral service to begin at 1 PM. Burial and graveside services will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Pastor Jeremy Sarber of Billings Funeral Home will officiate.

Jackie worked at Pickrell's Flower Land for many years, passionately caring for the plants and flowers that sprouted each year. In her spare time, she enjoyed singing, crocheting, bingo and word search games, crafts, and gardening. Most importantly, Jackie adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved so very much.

Jackie will best be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.
