ELKHART — Mrs. Jackie L. Miller, 61 of Elkhart, passed away peacefully following an extended illness on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her home.

She was born May 1, 1955, in Big Creek, Kentucky to the late Willy Jones and Elizabeth Jones of Barling, Arkansas.; and later married Gary E. Miller in Goshen on Aug. 23, 1975. He survives at home.

Also surviving is son Corey (Stephanie) Miller of Wheaton, Illinois; grandchildren Cody and Abby Miller; brothers Thomas (Nancy) and Robert (Carol) Jones and sisters Judy (Stanley) Garland and Nikki Jones.

She is preceded in death by granddaughter Alexis Miller and two infant brothers.

Jackie spent most of her life in banking as an administrative assistant. She was a devout member of the Elkhart Church of God and enjoyed singing and praising in the ministry. She also loved to travel and to spend as much time as she could with her beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

The Elkhart Church of God is hosting Jackie's Celebration of Life services  at 10 a.m. at 28082 CR 4, Elkhart, on Monday, May 1. Pastors Justin Moore, Randy Shinolt and Kenny Rogers will be officiating. In honoring Jackie's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.

Memorial donations may be given to the church.
