He was born on March 30, 1932, in Mishawaka to John Franklin and Margarete Irene (Johnson) May. On July 3, 1989, he married Marilyn Kay Bullock. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2005.

He is survived by three sons, Michael (Ashley) May and Mark Bullock, both of Elkhart, and Chris (Tracy) Bullock of Nappanee; three daughters, Patti (George) Nickell and Terry Doyle, both of Elkhart, and Cynthia (John) Szuch of Durham, N.C.; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sandy (Ralph) Fireoved of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John May.

There will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place and Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. May had been employed in the RV and auto industries in the Elkhart area and was a graduate of Elkhart High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Korea.
