CASSOPOLIS -- Jack G. Kidder, 71, of 19130 Northrop St., died at 3:35 p.m. Friday (Feb. 16, 2007) at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Elkhart to Lloyd Edward and Laura Mable (Roth) Kidder. In 1959, he married Juanita Bell. She preceded him in death in 1967. He married Janice Boggs on May 20, 1970.

She survives, along with three sons, Dale Boggs of Granger, Roy Allen (Julie) Boggs of Elkhart and Jimmy Lee Boggs of Edwardsburg; two daughters, Delilah (Mark) Swoverland and Anita Kiefer, both of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry (Janice) Kidder of Osceola; and three sisters, Arlene (Roger) Brandau and Lucille Kidder, both of Goshen, and Linda Kidder of South Bend.

He was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, where funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday. Pastor Elwood Adams and Pastor Mitchell Bentley of the Church of God of Prophecy, Osceola, will officiate and burial will be at Olive Cemetery.

Mr. Kidder retired from Jimtown schools, where he worked in maintenance for 10 years. He was formerly employed at Rolston Foundry, where he worked as a key polisher for more than 30 years.

He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

A Notre Dame football fan, he also enjoyed building model cars, airplanes and ships.
