Obituary
Jack S. Grove, 49, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Tuesday evening, April 29, 2014 at Elkhart General Hospital.
Jack was born on May 22, 1964 in Wilmington, Delaware to Lynn M. and Dottie (Martin) Grove. Surviving is a son, Thomas M. Grove of Indianapolis, daughter, Jesse R. Raven of Mishawaka, Ind.; father, Lynn M. (Barb) Grove of Elkhart; sister Jill L. (Steve) Rumble of Goshen; nieces Lynnsey and Kennadie Rumble and a nephew Brennan Rumble; step-sisters, Stephanie (Rick) Kurtz of Bristol, Kimberly Brant of Elkhart, step-brothers, Paul (Kristie) Hess of Elkhart and Jason (Kiesha) Hess of Hillsdale, Mich.
Jack's mother Dottie M. Jones preceded him in death in 2008.
Jack was a contractor and founder of Terry/Jackson Contractors of Mishawaka. He suffered serious injury from a fall while working, and was told he would never walk again, but with fearlessness and determination, he not only over came that and walked again, but continued to help any friends in need.
He enjoyed playing video games, and loved to be outdoors. His Elkhounds Bear and Logan and cat Misty will miss him. Jack will always be remembered for his smile.
Services celebrating the life of Jack S. Grove will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 with visitation 1 hour prior at Grace Bible Church, 54230 CR 5 N., Elkhart, IN 46514. Pastor Mike Fisher will officiate.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family prefers memorials to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
