Mr. J C Johnson, 55, of Elkhart, Indiana, was discovered passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at his home around 4:12 pm.

J C was born on September 20, 1951 in Brownsville, Tennessee to the late Otis and Lizzie Mae (Sangster) Johnson. His survivors include his son, Jason L. Johnson of Washington, Illinois and his daughter Belinda Thomas of Franksville, Wisconsin, brothers Buddy Sangster of Detroit, Michigan, his Twin L V Johnson of Elkhart, Thomas Barbee of New York and LeRoy Barbee of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and sisters Augusta (Lamar) Williams and Maryann Welk, both of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Epelmay Brown of Wisconsin and Operene Plumber of California. Preceding   L C in death are siblings Melvin Williams, William Sangster and Mary K. Johnson.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place and L C is to be reunited with his son, Jason. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart have been assisting the family.

J C was an avid motorsports fan and loved watching NHRAA drag racing and NASCAR stock car racing. He was an unwavering fan of Dale Earnhart and Richard Petty. He also worked many years as a restaurant chef.
