IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Infant Xaviontay
Xya Trejo Mason, Jr.
June 9, 2024 – October 31, 2024
Sweet infant Xaviontay Xya "Junior" Trejo Mason, Jr., of Elkhart, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 10:10. He was born in Elkhart on June 9, 2024 to Kianna Liliana Trejo and Xaviontay Xya Mason, Sr. who survive him at home along with his sister, Mya Liliana Trejo Mason Bundrant.
Also surviving Junior are his grandparents Brandon & Lindsay Bundrant of Goshen, Skylar & Sandy Whitfield of Elkhart, Kristi (Keith Battice) Tullos of Elkhart and Francisco Trejo of Elkhart and great grandmothers Carolyn Tullos of Sturgis, Michigan and Ofelia Hernandez of Elkhart. Junior is also survived by a loving host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and good friends.
Services for little Junior will be held at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 802 West Garfield Avenue, in Elkhart, on Saturday, October 9, 2024 at 12:00 noon, with visitation and viewing beginning there at 11:00 am. Pastor Danny Brown will officiate and, in accordance with the family's wishes, Junior will be cremated and then returned home with his parents and sister. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart have been assisting the family with arrangements.
Although our little Junior only spent a few precious months in the lives of his dear family, he was successful at making a lasting impression on everyone with his beautiful smile and his bubbly, happy personality. He loved spending time with his cousin Lilli as well as his sissy, mommy and grandma and watch an endless parade of Disney movies, happily teething on the corner of his favorite brown blankie without a care in the world. His day would begin and end with plenty of "I Love You" kisses and hugs from all of his family members and would be filled with endless requests to be someone's center of attention!
In every way, Junior was the sunshine in everyone's life, and he did his best to keep up that reputation. Full of love, wonder, amazement, curiosity and surprise, it was a joy to just watch him interact with the world around him. Junior simply loved everyone and everything. Many would doubtlessly say that the world has lost a beautiful soul, but we would argue that Heaven has just gained one.
Memorial donations may be given to Junior's family.
