ELKHART — Imogene A. Derby, 94, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, March 31, at Elkhart Hospice House.
She was born April 11, 1919, in LaPorte, to John F. and Shirley E. (Banker) Blasher.
On July 6, 1946, she married the late Richard E. Derby Sr. in Elkhart.
Survivors include her son, Richard E. Derby Jr. of Elkhart; sister Audry (Cleas L. Hodge) Bartlett of Elkhart; two grandchildren, Elisabeth A. Derby of San Francisco and David A. (Carolyn) Derby of Willoughby, Ohio; and four nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, June VanPaemel.
Imogene was previously employed with Excel Industries in Elkhart for more than 24 years prior to her retirement. Imogene looked forward to decorating her home for all of the holidays.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. Pastor Steve Bachman will officiate.
