ELKHART — Ida Mae Smith, 84, of Elkhart and formerly of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Greenleaf Health Campus.
She was born May 30, 1928, in Lupton City, Tenn., to Dallas L. and Susie Anna (Hilton) Patrick.
Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Graham of Elkhart; granddaughter Cindy (Lance) Zeb of Aurora, Ill.; grandson Michael (Bridget) Johnston of Ooltewah, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, Hope and Lauren Zeb, both of Aurora, and Cody and Brodie Johnston of Ooltewah; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Adkins; and one brother, Joel Patrick.
Ida was employed with Electric Power Board of Chattanooga for more than 20 years prior to her retirement.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Hamilton Funeral Home, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson, Tenn. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Hamilton Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens East, Mausoleum in Chattanooga.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with local arrangements.
