Ida Jean Pressler, 89, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Elkhart General Hospital on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.

She was born in Detroit, MI on Nov. 13, 1929 to the late Glenn C. and Angie G. (Brown) Neff, Sr., and married Thurman D. "Thurm" Pressler on Oct. 1, 1949 in Decatur, MI. He survives at home after 69 wonderful years together.

Also surviving are children Steven (Susan) Pressler, Diane (Gregg) Moser and Sandra (Dennis) Church; sister-in-law Janet Neff; 8 grand and 16 great grandchildren. A sister, Alice Neff and a brother, Glenn Neff, Jr., precedes Ida in death.

Grace Lutheran Church, 831 W. Marion St., Elkhart, will host a memorial Celebration of Life service for Ida on Saturday, Mar. 2, 2019 at 4:00 pm with visitation beginning at 2 pm. Pastor Gregg Moser, Ida's son-in-law, will officiate. Burial will follow on Monday, Mar. 4, 2019 at 10 am at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart. Cremation arrangements were conducted by Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart.

Ida was a member of Grace Lutheran Church but worked in the Elkhart City Church of the Brethren's preschool program as a teacher and director for over 25 years. A devout Christian lady, Ida enjoyed playing cards, knitting and baking cookies. The love of her life, however, was her family and any occasion that they were all together.
