Hubert grew up in Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana where he learned to be a hard worker on his father’s tobacco farms. He told stories about how he remembers when they didn’t have any running water in the house and had to carry water into the house. It was here where he gained old world wisdom.
Hubert married the love of his life, Venetta, on April 4, 1964, and was blessed with four hardworking professional sons, his sons were his pride and joy. Hubert worked at Wheelabrator for several years. He briefly served as an assistant pastor at a Pentecostal Church in Mishawaka and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Elkhart. In his spare time, Hubert enjoyed restoring old cars and worked on cars to be raced in local Drag Races. Hubert loved to fish with his sons and friends on Lake Michigan and had a soft spot for being out in nature, especially when he could watch the birds in his backyard. He prided himself on having an impeccable yard that was as smooth as a golf course green. Hubert was an incredibly loyal friend and had a caring heart that would be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
