Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is honored to host Doody's celebration of life with a viewing from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services and burial will follow at a later date in Five Points Cemetery, Edwardsburg.

Doody worked most of his life in the RV industry and as an OTR truck driver, but was best known for his auto mechanics work at Myrick's Used Cars on Main Street back in the 1970s.

He lived life on his own terms, and was loved for his free spirit and loving and caring personality.

He also had remarkable luck, especially with his health, and it was often joked that Doody was "10 foot tall and bulletproof."

Memorial donations may be given to the Teen Challenge Program at the New Life Christian Center.
